Chapter Event: Guided Tour of the Smithsonian National Zoo

Please join us for our next chapter event at the Smithsonian National Zoo on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 10:30am! Animal behavior expert, Erika Bauer, Ph.D., the zoo's Fujifilm Curatorial Resident in Animal Care, will lead us on a guided tour of the animal exhibits and discuss the scientific research conducted by zoo staff. Depending on the size of our group, behind-the-scenes tours of the animal facilities may be possible. After the tour, please join us for a brown bag lunch and networking opportunity on zoo grounds. What: Guided Tour of Smithsonian National Zoo. Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008. Time: Tour at 10:30am; lunch and networking at 12:30pm. Please bring your own lunch. Location: The zoo is located at 3001 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008. Meet at the Rock Creek Parkway (east side) entrance to the zoo, at the corner of Olmsted Walk. This is at the opposite end of the park from the Connecticut Avenue entrance. The zoo is metro accessible (Red Line to Woodley Park or Cleveland Park) and pay parking is available.
