The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Washington Science Policy Alliance (WSPA), and the Embassy of New Zealand invite you to a lecture by Dr. Helen Anderson, Chief Executive of New Zealand's Ministry of Research, Science and Technology "Science Meeting Global Environmental Challenges - A View from New Zealand" New Zealand's unique environment, history and culture means it has a distinctive contribution to make in addressing global sustainable development. Dr. Helen Anderson, the Chief Executive of New Zealand's Ministry of Research, Science and Technology will explain how the country is thinking about these challenges, particularly in the areas of energy, climate change, food production and water management. New Zealand and the U.S. have a long history of science partnerships, the most prominent being the relationship on Antarctic research.
