Dear Colleague,

You are cordially invited to a WSPA Breakfast Seminar on Research and Development in the FY 2008 Federal Budget. The seminar will take place in the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Auditorium, 1200 New York Ave., NW, Washington, DC, from 8:15 to about 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. A continental breakfast will be served on the second floor of the AAAS Building beginning at 7:30 a.m.

There will be three speakers: Sharon Hays, Associate Director for Science at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP); Kei Koizumi, Director of the AAAS R&D Budget and Policy Program; and Loius Finkel, Director of Policy and Outreach for the House Committee on Science and Technology.

There is no cost for the breakfast, but you are requested to RSVP by email to rsvp@aaas.org or by phone to Evie Iles at 202 326 6601 by 5 p.m. on Friday, February 9. As usual, attendance is limited by the capacity of the auditorium; first-come first-served. If you are unable to attend, please cancel to allow others to attend. Repeated no-shows will be removed from the list.

The AAAS Building is located 1200 New York Ave., NW. The main entrance is on the northwest corner of 12th & H Streets, one block from the Metro Center exit at 12th and G Sts. Parking is not available in the AAAS building, but there are several garages in the area.
