The Washington, DC Metro Chapter of the Association for Women in Science invites you to a panel discussion on the subject of women in academia. Panelists will represent a range of career stages, diverse science and engineering disciplines and several academic institutions. Topics to be discussed include:

* Communication strategies
* Negotiation
* Career progression and family responsibility
* Teaching and mentoring students
* Communicating your research
* Non-traditional career paths
* Dual career issues
* Navigating the tenure track
