> The incumbent serves as a natural resource management specialist
> overseeing the park's inventorying and monitoring program, and the
> scientific research, collecting and permitting program. Duties also
> include interagency coordination on natural resource and ecological
> restoration projects, preparing and reviewing environmental,
> technical, and planning documents and writing funding proposals.
> Cooperates in development of field protocols, coordination of planning
> and logistics for field work, conducting field work, analysis of data,
> preparation and review of technical documents resulting from research within park.
> Incumbent will identify resource management issues, formulate and
> evaluate management alternatives and make recommendations for management action.
> Incumbent will also participate in a wide range of other general
> natural and cultural resource management activities and programs.
> This position requires solid inter-divisional interpersonal and
> teamwork skills to facilitate effective management of park resources.

> Qualifications:

> Summary of Qualification Required: Basic Education Requirements for
> Biologist (0401) Candidates must meet qualifications requirements and

> 1. Degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource
> management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
> OR
> 2. Combination of education and experience--Courses equivalent to a
> major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

> applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related
> education as follows:

> For the GS-07 grade level, applicant must have one (1) year of
> graduate-level education or superior academic achievement, or, one (1)
