The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, is looking for a Director of Research Resource Services & Strategic Planning.
Purpose: An individual is needed to assist the Dean of Translational Biomedical Sciences [TBS] in the establishment and administration of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, manage and execute the CTSA grant application program and assist in writing large, multi-investigator grant applications Minimum Job Qualifications: Education: PhD or MD [or possibly M.S.] in some field of biomedical science Experience: 3 – 5 years experience in grant writing/coordinating; excellent writing skills Responsibilities: 1. Manage and execute CTSA grant application program a. Coordinate meetings of participating investigators and stakeholders b. Assist in the development and oversight of strategies to establish the Clinical & Translational Science Institute c. Establish and monitor milestones for achieving CTSA and Institute objectives d. Play major role in writing the CTSA application
2. Assist in the development and submission of major program projects and training grants a. Monitor external funding sources for MSSM faculty submissions b. Communicate information about external awards to appropriate faculty c. Coordinate and assist in putting together nomination packages for external clinical awards d. Monitor and evaluate success of MSSM faculty in obtaining external awards
3. Oversee the Clinical and Translational Science Institute web site 4. Coordinate planning and carryout special projects for the Dean for Translational Biomedical Sciences a. Develop goals and objectives for the programs based on Institutional policies and goals b. Develop plans to help investigators understand, share and support the strategic plan for the Clinical and Translational Science Institute 5. Assist the Dean of TBS in oversight of GCO, IRB, Institutional Core Facilities, & Office of Technology Transfer & Enterprise Development
