10th International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) Conference, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, May 21-25, 2007. Supported by IUBMB-Sigma-Aldrich fellowships and the Brazilian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq).

The International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) and Brazilian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq) are proud to announce the Young Scientist Forum, which will be held during the 10th IUBMB Conference in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, a joint event with the 36th Annual SBBq Meeting, also sponsored by the Panamerican Association for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PABMB).

This forum will offer extensive opportunities for young scientists from all over the world to share and exchange scientific experience, present their work at a high scientific level and interact with international senior scientists. Selected young scientists will have the opportunity to present their findings orally, and will receive substantial financial aid in order to assure their participation in the conference.

Undergraduate and graduate students, as well as post-doctoral trainees and young researchers under the age of 35 are encouraged to apply for support within the Young Scientist Forum. Young scientists of any nationality and from all fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology are eligible.

Successful applicants will receive:

1. Up to US$ 1000 contribution toward travel costs to Salvador
2. Complimentary accommodation during the Conference
3. Free registration
4. An invitation to present their work orally during the Conference
5. An award certificate

Please do not submit an abstract to the main conference before the young scientist awardees are announced. The selected young scientists will be automatically registered in the conference. All applicants who are not selected for the young scientist forum will be encouraged to submit their work to the conference after the selection process. Further information can be found here.
